"Outside" is a simple story of two guys trying to get away from zombies/monster things. That's it. Here's what the opening line of my outline was to begin with (months before actual scripting/filming):

"This movie is basically going to be a homage to my favourite filmmakers, and an exercise in style. This is not going to be a masterpiece of literary standards. Hopefully I will be able to cram a lot of interesting stuff into this one film."

Two characters, Ang and Cole are chased by creatures,  they lock themselves up in Ang's house and try to figure out what to do. Some interesting and unfortunate events unfold as the movie progresses, such as the entrance of Dirk - is he an ally or a zombie/monster? The Zombie leader pays them a visit and someone gets quite inebriated.

I had never attempted a horror/zombie flick before and thought it might be fun. Hey, if Peter Jackson, Sam Raimi, John Carpenter and all the rest did it, why not me? (not that I can make films of their caliber, but you get what I mean, hopefully).

Three dudes. In a house. Zombies outside. And lots of alcohol.
